In 2004, we'd run some simple polls on this site during the presidential campaign of George W. Bush & Dick Cheney versus John Kerry & John Edwards. The results of the unscientific taospolling.com poll: Kerry: 505 - Bush: 406. This doesn't reflect the outcome of real-world voting in Taos itself, where Kerry-Edwards got like 87% or something.

Right now, this is experiment with technology, first, and secondly, with the idea itself.

The newer technologies I'm playing with here are much for scientific and maybe even the misanthropic of Taosenos will participate just for fun. Also, so far there is no real plan to promote this site with things like ads on radio or in newspapers. Just this little Web engine. We probably won't do anything with the resulting data, either. It'll just be sitting here.

I figure that I'll begin posting some questions on here and see if people in the Taos-local community or the larger community of Taos online. Right now I'm testing polling XT, later, we'll try out another component.

I figure this can cover things like local ripoffs, local lies, local preferences, local opinions, local tourism feedback..., state of New Mexico stuff..., national items..., whatever.
